Marian Consecration Day 7 - Quick, Easy, Secure
Come Holy Spirit, living in Mary.

Marian Consecration Day 6 - All for God's Great Glory
Come Holy Spirit, living in Mary.
Help me to give great glory to God by giving all I have to Mary.
(St. Faustina) related that if we were to see the differences among the degrees of glory in heaven, we would willingly suffer anything on earth just to move one degree higher . . .
But or motive should not be self-love; rather, it should be that we want to please God and give great glory to Him.

Marian Consecration Day 4 - A Tender, Intimate and Complete Gift of Myself to Mary
Help me to give myself entirely to Jesus through Mary.
In the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose you this day for my Mother and Queen. I deliver and consecrate to you, as your slave, my body and soul, my goods, both interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present, and future; leaving to you the entire and full right of disposing of me, without exception, according to your good pleasure, for the greater glory of God, in time and eternity.
St. Louis de Montfort
True Devotion to Mary

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with St. Simon Stock
If you could always continue to be humble and little in your own eyes, and keep your spirit in due order and subjection, you would not fall so easily into danger and offense. It is good counsel that, when you have conceived the spirit of fervor, you should meditate how it will be when the light is withdrawn.
Thomas a Kempis
Imitation of Christ
Book 3, Chapter 40

(c) Lachlan Gardiner
Lord, I know I cannot trust my body, my mind, my eyes. Most of all, I cannot trust my own will. Time and time again my will and my desire lead me astray. Into more sin, I've fallen. And my sin is ever before me. My weakness has humbled me, but in that very weakness I cry out to you. You who are my Shepherd; you who are my only Good; you, my One and true Love.
Only in you shall I find Peace.
Only in you shall I find Peace.

Marian Consecration Day 3 - A Renewal of My Baptismal Vows
Give me the grace to reject Satan and follow Christ more closely.
2 For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.c
33 Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?44 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove that splinter from your eye,’ while the wooden beam is in your eye?5
5 You hypocrite,* remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye.
. . .
1414 How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.

When I feel most hurt by others, especially those people with authority over me or important to me in my psychological development and daily life, how am I judging them? My judgment, like a tunnel into the recesses of Original Sin, leads to pride, self-pity, wrath, slander, and all other sin.

Marian Consecration Day 2 - I Empty Myself, I Surrender
Come Holy Spirit, living in Mary.
Prepare me to give myself fully to living out this true and solid devotion.

(c) Claudio Momberto
66 But when you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you.77 And when you pray, speak not as much, as the heathens do, who think that they will be heard because of their many words.88 Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Mathew 6: 6 -- 8
Unless your faith is firm
You shall not be firm!

Marian Consecration Day 1 - A Warrior's Zeal
Help me to make this retreat with generosity and zeal.
St. Louis de Montfort (Brittany, France)
A son of Celtic warriors
9I have become an outcast to my kindred,a stranger to my mother’s children.g10Because zeal for your house has consumed me,I am scorned by those who scorn you.h11When I humbled my spirit with fasting, ithis led only to scorn.
Psalm 69: 9 -- 11
The works of disobedience to God's laws and abuse of created things must be renounced:
- Works that bring error and darkness to the mind
- Works that bring seduction and corruption to the will
These may have pomps: splendor and charms employed by the devil to make sin alluring in people, places, and things.
